When I began this blog in 2008 I was amazed by the Bible References referred to in Pastor Steve Hadley’s message on the lunar and (blood moons) and solar eclipses that are going to occur on Jewish Feast days in 2014 and 2015.  His information then was gleaned from a Messianic Jewish Rabbi by the name of Mark Blitz of El Shaddai Ministries and as that time approaches many other ministries have picked up on it. With current events that appear each and every day in the headlines that confirm many of the Biblical prophecies concerning the timing of timing of these events, it does us well to consider them and as the Jesus warned us, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36 KJV)  One of the best messages to consolidate the message of the blood moons was presented by Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.

When the earths shadow passes over the full face of the moon, caused by the sun’s indirect light being filtered through Earth’s atmosphere and casts a reddish hue on the moon’s surface, making the moon appear red, often known as a ‘blood moon.’

According to the scripture, one reason God created celestial bodies besides the calculation of days and years was for signs and seasons (Genesis 1:14). Further study on the actual Hebrew meaning of the words reveals another secret.  ‘Signs’ is from the Hebrew word oth defined as a ‘flag’ or ‘signal.’  The Hebrew word for ‘seasons’ is ‘moed’ and literally means ‘appointments.’

Something else mentioned here is of extreme importance, and that is the 7 Jewish “Feast” days that God claims as His in Leviticus 23:4  “These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.”

In 2014, and 2015 there are four blood moons that appear on two of the same feast days in both years.  This is an unusual event and in the past when it has happened, history shows that extreme events happened to the Jews.

The Lunar eclipses break down as follows:

            Passover                                 April 15, 2014

Feast of Tabernacles              October 8, 2014

            Passover                                 April 4, 2015

Feast of Tabernacles              September 28, 2015

In addition, there will also be two Solar eclipses (the sun darkened):

The two Solar eclipses connected with God’s Holy Days in 2014-2015 occur:

            Adar 29/Nisan 1(new year)            March 20, 2015

Feast of Trumpets                  September 13, 2015

I won’t go into detail at this time regarding the tradition and meaning of these important feast days but suffice it to say that for these events to occur in such a sequence is extremely rare, and their meaning as these feasts certainly do have prophetic meaning cannot be overstated as they point the coming of Jesus Christ to rule and reign for a thousand years…..
